Baw Latrobe LLEN Strategic Plan 2010 Pathways to Re-engagement through Flexible Learning Options – a Policy Direction for Consultation During 2009 and 2010, the Department conducted a
review of alternative education programs to inform the development of a
consistent policy framework for flexible learning options, including
alternative education programs. The development of a policy framework is intended to
commence a longer-term change process to move from the current system to a
strengthened, consistent and more coordinated approach to addressing student
disengagement and providing flexible learning options. Pathways to re-engagement through
flexible learning options: a policy direction for consultation has been
developed to prompt discussion and seek feedback on the proposed
characteristics of flexible learning options policy framework. The views of schools, stakeholders and
staff involved in the provision of alternative education for students at risk
of disengagement are being sought. Feedback
on the Directions Paper concludes at 5.00 pm on Monday 31 May 2010. The
