Caring for Other People by Youth - Careers & Pathways is a program which exposes young people to the Community Services and Health industry.
Community Services and Health is one of the fastest growing industries in Australia with many opportunities for employment in our local region.
Participants in the COPY CAP program explore occupations such as allied health assistants, aged and disability workers, nursing, dental and many more.
You can choose to participate in COPY CAP if you like caring for or helping other people and you have a keen interest in learning about the Community Services and Health industry.
COPY CAP can help you:
- Learn about the different careers in the community services and health industry
- Understand the pathways from school to GippsTAFE and university
- See what employment is available in the Latrobe Region
- Hear from and talk to people working in hospitals and other centres
- Realise your interest in helping other people and the opportunity to make a difference in other people’s lives
COPY CAP programs run over two days. The first day involves hearing from professionals from the Community Services & Health industry about their roles, training and pathways from school. The second day involves visiting various workplaces, including, Aged Care Facilities, Allied Health and Dental services. COPY CAP progams are planned for Baw Baw in June 2011 and August 2011 in Latrobe.
