the Latrobe Region ·
Hear from and talk to people working
in hospitals and other centres ·
Realise your interest in helping other
people and the opportunity to make a difference in other people’s lives Program
Elements Selection Process 20 students will be selected to participate in the COPY CAP program. All
students will be required to complete an application process which includes
an application form and a vocational assessment to confirm their interest in
caring for or helping other people.
Students will learn about the community services and health industry
through a variety of orientation activities. They will hear from people
working in aged care, disability services and child care, as well as nursing
and allied health areas such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, dietetics and
podiarty. Students will visit centres and hospitals and speak with young professionals
working in the industry. Work Experience Students will be given the opportunity to undertake work experience in a

attitudes required for the position, as well as experiencing the work
environment and people. Note: Work Experience is subject to employer
availability. Students are encouraged to consider related careers where they
would be required to work with the public. Students wishing to go on to study
a VETiS program in year 11 will complete a work placement as part of their
