Gippsland Mentoring Alliance

Gippsland Mentoring Alliance supports mentoring programs in the Gippsland region.  Mentoring programs operate in a number of communities, schools and youth organisations in Gippsland.

Gippsland Mentoring Alliance has been formally established after first piloting several youth mentoring programs using the Plan-It Youth Mentoring model.  GMA was created in response to the growth in demand across Gippsland.

Currently there are more than 20 member programs of Gippsland Mentoring Alliance. Many are school based, with some programs running as part of the school curriculum, whilst others operate within a community organisation.

For information about all the programs download the GMA Program Overview.

If you are considering setting up and running a program, contact Kate on (03) 5633 2868 or email kate.bblllen@dcsi.net.au for policy & procedure guidelines, training information and coordinator guidelines.

Gippsland Mentoring Alliance is the peak organisation which provides the coordination, support, training and structure to these communities without which the programs would not operate.  This regional model allows smaller communities to develop and deliver youth mentoring programs supported through a skilled and experienced peak body such as GMA.  Currently GMA is auspiced by Baw Baw Latrobe LLEN.
