GippsWebs for Business

GippsWebs for Business is a website design competition where teams of students produce websites for real client companies.

Entry is free of charge and is open to all year 9-12 secondary school students in the Gippsland region. The competition is designed to provide students with an opportunity to develop and showcase their skills in a number of areas such as web development, data collection, teamwork, time management, research and presentation.

Each school has the opportunity to enter ‘teams’ of students (2 to 5 students per team) who will be paired with a local business for whom they will produce a dynamic website.

Final submission date will be in July 2008. The first round of judging will be from within local shires, winners from this round will then proceed to the final Gippsland wide judging. Final winners will be announced at a presentation night.

The winning websites will be placed on the GippsWebs for Business website to be viewed by all.

The competition will run over ten week’s in term 2 of the 2009 school year.
